Helping Women Find their Identity in Christ

7 Scriptures on Contentment

What is contentment? Cambridge Dictionary describes it as “happiness and satisfaction, often because you have everything you need.”

Contentment is the best way to eliminate worry from our lives. The Bible is full of examples of how we are to be content and not let the cares of this life get to us.

One of the things I find helpful in ensuring I have everything I need is by creating a budget. Putting aside money for my necessities prevents me from asking, “Where is the money coming from?” And when unexpected emergencies arise, which they most certainly will, I pray for God’s guidance.

Here are 7 Scriptures on how to be content.

I Timothy 6:6-7 NLT

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.
