Helping Women Find their Identity in Christ

Beauty Observed

Being observant is not one of my strong points. My children can tell me everything that is happening in the neighborhood, but I will be clueless because I am inside minding my own business and really not caring what is happening around me. Not good I know.

But one thing I love to do is observe Moruga, the village where my father was born and grew up. It is in the country and the most beautiful of sceneries that exist here in Trinidad. There I don’t mind being observant.

The trees, the multitude of birds and fruit trees are enough to amaze you if you are not accustomed to the country life. Actually, it is here that I first observed a woodpecker, that I didn’t even know existed in Trinidad and Tobago.

It is so peaceful. The breeze is fantastic. It is God’s creation at it’s best. I enjoy observing the little creatures even. The bugs, the ants, the lizards, they are all so beautiful when you see them in their natural habitat.

I may not be observant of my neighbour’s lives, but I do enjoy being observant of God’s beautiful handiwork.

This post is part of the Five Minute Friday link-up. This week’s prompt is Observant.
