Lisa Marcelina loves writing about Bible topics and her Christian walk. Writing became her passion when she sought a way out of despair and discouragement. While in her teens and early adult life, she struggled with low self-esteem, depression, and self-hate. She felt so unworthy she blamed her parents for making her into a person nobody loved or wanted to be around. She knew these thoughts were destructive.

One day she got tired of the negative self-image she painted of herself and decided to do something about it. She started journaling and spent more time in bible study and prayer. What she learned about Jesus and what He did for humanity on the cross helped her to heal and learn to love herself.

She no longer blames her parents but has come to accept herself for who God created her to be. For this reason, she believes writing is her calling, a desire the Lord placed on her heart to encourage and uplift other women and bring glory to God.

Lisa is an avid Bible student. She is a premium subscriber to the Our Daily Bread University, where she completed certificate courses in “Old Testament Basics,” “New Testament Basics,” “Bible Study Basics,” and “How to Teach the Bible.” She is currently studying “Prayer Basics” and “Bible Geography Basics.”

Her blog focuses on helping women find their identity in Christ by providing encouragement through devotionals, bible studies, and courses. Her goal is to also help them become not just self-confident but God-confident.

Lisa lives in Trinidad and Tobago with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include running, hiking, and reading mystery novels. Her biggest goal is to become a published author, and she is currently writing a memoir/bible study entitled “Identity in Christ-Created for Good Works.”
