The Real You Destroyed

When God originally created man, He created us to have a personal relationship with Him. We were connected to God in a special way, but Satan destroyed this connection when he deceived Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and disobey God.

Satan introduced shame to Adam and Eve by showing them their nakedness, and when their eyes were opened to their nakedness, they started to see things differently. They were no longer guided by the Spirit of God, but by their own way of thinking.

Since then, knowledge took on a new meaning and no longer came from God but what we now call formal education. That relationship we lost with God and the replacement with outside intelligence are responsible for limiting our potential.

Our education system defines our intelligence telling us if we don’t make certain grades or go to College, we are failures. When we believe this lie it destroys our self-confidence and stops us from fulfilling our life purpose.

Now do not get me wrong. I am not saying that education on a whole is bad. We need it in order to get jobs and develop our careers. I myself spent 5 years part-time Reading for my Degree, and that has developed me in a lot of ways. But our education system is not the source of all knowledge and wisdom.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10 NIV

Education, and by extension knowledge and wisdom is more than just earning a Degree. It is about fearing God and developing a relationship with Him. It is about learning what His will is and living by His morals and values and being accountable to Him.

Reconnect to God through Jesus

The good news is Jesus came to free us from Satan’s deception. He said He came to give us life in all its fullness (John 10:10).  This can only happen when we reconnect to God through Jesus. With that connection we can begin to reveal our true self and identity. Everything Satan took away from us in the Garden of Eden, Jesus came to restore.

To reveal your true self and unleash your potential you must leave sin, guilt, and shame behind. You must reconnect to God by giving your life to Jesus. Ask for forgiveness, not just for sin, but for all the lies you believed from the enemy. You must begin to turn over a new leaf.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

You Reconnect with God through prayer and Bible study – everyday. Through Jesus a new door will be opened to reveal the real you, the person who God created you to be.
